ESPORTSSIGNAL / GUIDES

Editorial policy

Last updated 8 November 2026

This policy explains how EsportsSignal decides what to cover, where its facts come from, who writes the pages and how mistakes are corrected. EsportsSignal is published by AMFoxy, an independent publishing operation, and is not owned by any bookmaker, team or tournament organiser.

What we cover and how topics are chosen

We cover professional esports: match previews and results, tournaments, teams and rosters, news, explainers on how esports betting markets work, and simple tools such as odds converters. Topics are chosen by what is being played, which events and teams readers follow, and which questions about formats and markets come up repeatedly. Commercial value does not decide whether a match or team gets coverage.

Where our facts come from

  • Match data. Schedules, line-ups and results come from PandaScore records, refreshed about every five minutes. Finished results stay on the same page, so a preview becomes a result page.
  • Formats and events. Tournament formats are checked against the organiser’s published rules.
  • Operators. Operator pages only describe what we can confirm from the operator’s public website and our own link settings. We do not currently place real-money bets to test operators, so we do not score payout speed, margins or customer service.

When a team has little history in our records, the page says so instead of filling the gap. If the live feed is out of date, live rows are hidden until it refreshes.

What we do not publish

  • No predictions, tips, win probabilities or “value bets”.
  • No invented odds, bookmaker margins, star ratings or player ratings.
  • No “verified” or “audited” claims unless the page explains exactly what was checked.

Bylines and pen names

Articles are written and edited by a small team under consistent pen names: Marcus Vance (editor; Counter-Strike 2, Valorant, market guides and country pages) and Kai Lindqvist (writer; League of Legends, Dota 2, tournaments, tools and operator pages). A pen name tells you who is responsible for a page. It is not a claimed biography or qualification, and we do not publish invented credentials. Match previews and results are generated from data records and reviewed by the editors. See People and How we work and test.

Independence from advertisers

Some pages carry partner links to betting operators, and we may earn a commission when a reader signs up. These links go through a first-party /go/ address, are marked as sponsored, and are shown only where the operator accepts customers. Partners do not review, approve or pay for coverage, and commission does not decide what we write. Editions for markets where betting offers are not allowed carry no betting links. Details are in our affiliate disclosure.

Corrections

If a score, roster or fact is wrong, send the page address and the problem through our contact page. Confirmed errors are fixed and the page’s review date is updated. Data errors that come from the match feed are corrected when the feed is corrected.

Responsible play

Esports betting is for adults only. Our responsible play page lists support services.
