FISSURE returns to Dota 2 this month with PARI Universe, a ten-team online tournament with a $250,000 prize pool. The event runs from 22 October to 1 November and is the first big post-TI test for several rebuilt rosters, including Team Liquid with new midlaner Malr1ne.

According to rdy.gg, it is only the second FISSURE Dota 2 event of 2026 and comes after a break of about seven months. Online betting platform PARI is the lead sponsor of the new tournament series.

The field

Nine teams received direct invitations and one place went to the winner of a closed European qualifier held from 5 to 8 October. The final list of entrants on Sqady is 1w Team, Astra Invicta, BetBoom Team, GamerLegion, LEGION, OG, PARIVISION, Team Liquid, Team Spirit and Team Yandex.

To give a sense of recent form, we pulled each team’s record in league matches over the six months to 17 October 2026 from OpenDota’s public match database. The numbers count individual games, include smaller events and qualifiers, and depend on teams being correctly tagged in match data, so they are a guide rather than a ranking.

Team League games (6 months) Wins Win rate Source
PARIVISION 47 36 76.6% OpenDota
LEGION 19 13 68.4% OpenDota
Team Yandex 112 76 67.9% OpenDota
BetBoom Team 130 79 60.8% OpenDota
Team Spirit 129 78 60.5% OpenDota
Team Liquid 121 66 54.5% OpenDota
OG 75 37 49.3% OpenDota
GamerLegion 107 49 45.8% OpenDota

OpenDota did not return a clear six-month team record for 1w Team and Astra Invicta, so they are left out of the table.

Format and schedule

The group stage runs from 22 to 26 October. The ten teams are split into two groups of five and play a single round robin, with every series a best-of-three. The top four teams in each group advance and the bottom team in each group is eliminated.

The playoffs run from 28 October to 1 November in a double-elimination bracket. Every playoff series is a best-of-three except the grand final, which is a best-of-five. Sqady lists daily series at 08:00, 11:00, 14:00 and 17:00 UTC during the group stage.

Prize money

Place Prize (per Sqady)
1st $125,000
2nd $50,000
3rd $30,000
4th $15,000
5th-6th $10,000 each
7th-8th $5,000 each
9th-10th $0

Half of the pool, $125,000, goes to the winner. Sqady notes that this gives PARI Universe a larger first-place share than about half of the events in its season calendar.

Storylines

Team Spirit arrive as champions of The International 2026, where they beat TEAM VISION 3-2 in the final. Yet Sqady’s head-to-head data shows that Team Yandex have won 10 of their 14 series against Spirit this season, so the TI champions come in with a losing record against a team in this very field. Yandex also won BLAST Slam VIII after TI.

PARIVISION are the other team to watch. They top Sqady’s season table by win rate and have won 9 of 14 series against BetBoom Team this season. BetBoom themselves finished second at the Esports World Cup 2026 and won PGL Wallachia Season 8 in April, although they recently loaned carry bottega to PlayTime.

For Team Liquid, the event is the debut of Malr1ne, who joined on 15 October to replace Nisha. Liquid finished 5th-6th at TI 2026 and 9th-12th at BLAST Slam VIII with MidOne standing in, so a strong showing here would be an early sign that the new line-up works. A meeting with Yandex would also pit Malr1ne against his former Falcons teammate ATF.

The FISSURE context

The tournament also matters for the organiser. rdy.gg reports that FISSURE faced allegations of unpaid prize money across its Counter-Strike 2 and Dota 2 events in mid-2026, with reports in June and July suggesting it owed teams more than $1 million. Earlier in the year, FISSURE publicly acknowledged owing prize money to 15 CS2 teams, a disclosure reportedly made to comply with Valve’s Tournament Operation Requirements. FISSURE has not publicly said whether those debts have been settled. Teams and fans will be watching how PARI Universe is run and paid out.

How to follow

The event is played online, so there is no live audience. Matches will be broadcast on FISSURE’s official channels, and EsportsSignal will cover the results, starting with the group stage on 22 October.
