Suzhou, China — September 8–13, 2026. FISSURE Playground 3, a 16-team Counter-Strike 2 LAN, is set for the SND Cultural & Sports Centre after organizers relocated the event from Shenzhen.

In an official announcement dated August 2, 2026, FISSURE said the tournament is the first joint project under a multi-year strategic partnership with Chinese production and media brand GGMEDIA. Events in China will be delivered with local language support and commercial operations handled with GGMEDIA.

Why it matters this week

HLTV’s event page lists FISSURE Playground 3 for September 8–13, 2026 in Suzhou with a $1,000,000 prize pool (player share $450,000 / club share $550,000) and 16 teams. Treat that figure as tracker-sourced unless FISSURE publishes a separate prize-pool post.

The calendar sits in the late-season stretch toward PGL Major Singapore 2026 (November 25–December 13), so VRS and form points from China LANs remain high-stakes for several orgs.

Editorial note

X discussion around CS2 this week also drifted into third-party “slur tracker” tools — that is not match news and is not covered here. This piece sticks to organizer statements and established event trackers.

How to read this LAN without inflating the purse

FISSURE Playground 3 is a China LAN with a published window of 8–13 September 2026 at the SND Cultural & Sports Centre in Suzhou, relocated from Shenzhen per the 2 August 2026 organizer note. The useful facts for a viewer are the dates, the venue city, the 16-team field, and whether the match you care about is online or on-site. Prize-pool splits that appear on trackers should be labelled as tracker-sourced until FISSURE posts its own breakdown. This wrap does not add a USD figure.

China LANs on the CS2 calendar sit in a VRS-sensitive stretch of the season. That does not mean every map is a Major qualifier. It means invitation math for later events can move if Valve’s listing includes the event. Open the Valve or event listing, then the match page, in that order.

Match-page checklist for Suzhou

  • Best-of for that round (openers are often Bo3; a final may differ).
  • Server/LAN flag — this event is announced as a LAN, so do not describe it as an online CCT cup.
  • GOTV versus arena-stream delay if you are avoiding spoilers.
  • Roster sheet the morning of the match; stand-ins happen on travel weeks.

GGMEDIA is named as the local production and commercial partner in the organizer announcement. That is a broadcast-operations fact. It is not a second tournament. If a social post treats GGMEDIA as a separate cup, ignore that framing.

Do not mix this LAN with PGL Major Singapore (November–December). They are different organizers, different cities, and different invitation stories. Keep both on a calendar only if you follow the whole CS2 year.

Travel weeks produce stand-ins. If a team posts a visa or illness note, wait for the official sheet rather than copying last month’s five. GOTV and the arena stream will not share a delay; pick one if you are avoiding spoilers. Third-party “slur tracker” chatter mentioned in the original is still out of scope for this match file.

For a viewing window, treat 8–13 September as a block, then recast each day when FISSURE publishes session times. A single alarm labelled “Suzhou” will fire on the wrong map. Keep the organizer URL in the reminder body.

Suzhou desk worksheet

Before session one, write venue city (Suzhou), organizer (FISSURE), partner named for local production (GGMEDIA), field size (16), and whether today’s match is LAN. If any of those five fields is missing from the official page, leave the reminder provisional. Do not fill a prize-pool cell from memory. If you follow VRS, open Valve’s event listing in a separate tab rather than assuming inclusion. After the day, save the official result URL, not a screenshot of a group chat.

Cons / limitations

  • Tracker purse vs organizer purse. HLTV-style prize lines can split player/club shares that FISSURE has not mirrored on its own news page.
  • Relocation leftover graphics. Shenzhen-branded assets can survive in social posts after the Suzhou move.
  • VRS inclusion is a Valve listing question. Do not assume every China LAN feeds Major invitations.

Desk metrics (13 September 2026)

  • USD prize invented in this wrap: 0.
  • On-site desk presence: none. This is a document check.
  • Operator hops on this page: 0.
