How the competitive year is structured
Rainbow Six Siege esports is currently organized around a BLAST-operated global circuit (BLAST R6) with regional leagues, internationals, and a Six Invitational (SI) peak when that event is on the calendar. Partnered teams, open qualifiers, and national events can sit beside the main table. Name the organizer on the week you are watching; the old Pro League / Six Major vocabulary is historical unless the current page still uses it.
A Siege match is a map of rounds, and a series is a set of maps. Bomb is the competitive mode. Operator bans happen before the map. Overtime rules (which team switches, how many rounds, whether it is first to two) are event-specific. A 7–5 score does not mean the same thing in every year.
Map pool is a ban/pick plus a remaining decider. Siege maps play differently enough that a team can be a “Clubhouse team” and a liability on Oregon. H2H without map names is noise.
What to verify on an official match page
Use BLAST R6, Ubisoft, or the regional league site. Check:
- Best-of maps. Bo1, Bo3, Bo5. Playoffs are often Bo3; grand finals often Bo5. Confirm.
- Round win condition and overtime. Target round count (for example first to 7) and OT procedure. Do not import a CS2 MR12 brain.
- Operator ban sheet. Global bans plus per-map bans. A banned operator is a match condition as real as a missing star player.
- Patch / YxSy. Siege names seasons (Year x Season y). Events freeze or ride the live season. Your ranked season may not be the LAN season.
- Region. Online league weeks versus SI LAN. Server region matters on a 6-second plant.
Lineups: Siege benches a fifth and a sixth. A coach-called strat can look like a different team with the same five. Still confirm the five that loaded.
Reading rounds without overfit
A 4–0 start is not a map win. Siege swings on plant/defuse and on a single operator swap at half. If you write a recap, list half-time score and the ban sheet before you list rating numbers from a tracker. Trackers disagree on entry and KOST. Name the tracker if you use one; this hub does not invent KOST.
Spikes in live odds or Discord panic after one team timeout are not evidence. Timeouts are part of the rules. Wait for the round to end.
Ban sheet, round target, and season name
Copy the operator ban sheet before you copy player ratings. A map without bans is an incomplete match description. Then copy the round target (first to N) and the overtime procedure for that BLAST or SI year. Siege overtime is not CS2 overtime. A 7–5 graphic from last SI may be illegal on this week’s rules.
Season names (Year x Season y) are the patch language. Ranked on your account can be a season ahead of a frozen LAN. If a player’s signature operator was reworked last Tuesday, check whether the LAN took that rework. H2H without map names and without bans is not H2H.
Timeouts are rules, not panic. Wait for the round to end before you write that a team “collapsed.” Tracker KOST and entry stats disagree across sites; name the tracker or omit the number. This hub omits them by default.
Half-time side switch and a single operator swap can flip a 4–0 start. Recap half-time score plus bans before you recap a star rating. Online league weeks and SI LAN weeks need separate notes even for the same five. If the match page omits bans, treat the card as incomplete and do not preview operator-specific lineups. Plant and defuse are round win conditions; a kill highlight without the spike state is not a round recap. BLAST R6 and Six Invitational use different round targets across years; copy this year’s PDF, not last year’s memory.
This hub does not sell a VPN. Match intel stays on /matches/. If you still want one cashier after the reading guide, open the GG.BET partner check. No operator hop on this page.
Fiat rails named on the partner check, not here: Visa, Mastercard, Skrill, Neteller and SEPA. This desk did not deposit on 13 September 2026.
Cons / limitations
- Ban sheet missing from aggregator cards. A match without listed operator bans is not fully described.
- Overtime vocabulary drifts by year. Copying last SI’s OT onto this week’s BLAST match will mis-count the map.
- Siege patches rework operators mid-circuit. A player’s “signature” operator may be unusable after a season drop.
Desk metrics (13 September 2026)

FAQ
Is a 7–5 map always regulation? Not always. Check that year’s target score and overtime.
Where do I see operator bans? Official match page or the broadcast overlay at ban phase. Do not guess from a VOD thumbnail.
Is this a round-betting guide? No. See the separate R6 markets explainer if you need market definitions. This hub is a match-page reading guide.
